About the Bel Air Corvette Club

The Bel Air Corvette Club (BACC), Inc. was founded in 1973. The Club is comprised of individuals; both male and female, young and old, that have a common interest --- the Chevrolet Corvette. Through the BACC, technical and practical information for Corvette owners and enthusiasts are gained. Events are conducted for showing your Corvette, for safely enjoying the performance of your Corvette and for demonstrating your driving skill.

With about 150 members, BACC is an active member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs, Inc. (NCCC) and is among the largest clubs within NCCC. Although we are large, individuals are important to us. We actively work to integrate new members into our club.

BACC has been the top competitive club in the East Region of NCCC for the last thirteen (13) consecutive years due to the competitive spirit of BACC members and members are strongly encouraged to participate in regional competitive events!

Meetings

The BACC meets at 7:30 PM on the second Monday of each month. Currently, the club meetings are held at the McFaul Activities Center at 525 West MacPhail Road (behind the Motor Vehicle Administration) in Bel Air. Meetings last approximately one hour. Many members come as early as 7:00 PM to socialize with their fellow members.

The BACC Board of Directors meets at 7:30 PM on the first Tuesday of each month. The committees of BACC meet on an as-needed basis.

National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC)

NCCC was founded by a small group of Corvette owners and true, blue enthusiasts. The NCC's purpose is:

  • To promote interest in Corvette ownership and its safe operation
  • To publish information on the use and operation of the Corvette
  • To establish an organized effort to encourage others to participate in the enjoyment connected with the Corvette

In the early days, the number of clubs was rather small with all of them being located east of the Mississippi. Today, there are more than 280 clubs in 16 regions both east and west of the Mississippi. The membership in the NCCC comprises about 18,000 members, the largest non-profit, all volunteer, Corvette organization in the United States! NCCC sanctioned events include Concours D' Elegance, Rallyes and a variety of Speed Events. Non-sanctioned events include Eat n' Rides, parades, and other similar events that are conducted to benefit a charity or for the benefit of the club members.

The Bel Air Corvette Club participates in a number of NCCC activities each year as well as other locally sponsored events that are done to promote good will or for the benefit of the club members. NCCC events earn the club points within their respective region of NCCC.

The East Region of National Council of Corvette Clubs

The NCCC is divided into sixteen regions across the United States. BACC is a member of the East Region. The NCCC East Region is one of the largest region (by membership). It is comprised of NCCC Corvette Clubs in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia.
